Pet Acupuncture
Acupuncture is now available for your pets at Forest Hills Cat Hospital. Acupuncture is most commonly used for chronic pain (typically arthritis), immune system stimulation, constipation relief, decreasing inflammation, stimulating blood flow, promoting healing after surgery, and pain management.
Pet Acupuncture
Our knowledgeable staff performs acupuncture with sterile, single-use needles, reducing the possibility of infection. Acupuncture is chemical-free and enhances the body’s own healing abilities. Complications are extremely rare, if at all.
Pet Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a method of promoting optimal wellness and improving one’s quality of life. Acupuncture can be used to improve chronic condition control, treat acute illnesses or injuries, hasten recovery, and boost the immune system.
Medical Acupuncture guides the selection of acupuncture points with knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Acupuncture can be used to improve blood circulation, relieve muscle tension, control pain, stimulate healing, improve digestion, and release endorphins, among other things.
Acupuncture is administered 1-2 times per week until a positive response is obtained. Acute problems typically respond to one to three treatments, whereas chronic conditions typically require 3-6 treatments. Treatments are then tailored to the patient’s response. Chronic conditions will necessitate maintenance treatments every few weeks to months.
